Michel Brekelmans joined L.E.K. in 1996 and is co-head of L.E.K.’s China practice in Shanghai. He has more than 15 years experience in strategy consulting, of which nine years in Asia. He specializes in a number of sectors including Industrial Products, Energy & Cleantech, Transport and Agribusiness. He advises corporate clients and financial investors in these sectors on complex strategic and commercial issues with a focus on M&A transactions, strategic and business planning, organizational development and performance improvement.

Prior to moving to China, Michel headed L.E.K’s Singapore office, and before that he was based in L.E.K.’s London and Los Angeles offices. Michel received a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management/ Erasmus University Rotterdam in The Netherlands. He also completed the International Management Program (Master of Business Administration exchange) at Stern School of Business at New York University.
